Developing Mental Toughness-Refocusing

Time is a funny thing; it is completely relative. 5 minutes can go by in a blink, or it can be stretched into an eternity. Once in high school I was taken down in the first 15 seconds of a match. I had to fight off of my back to avoid a pin for nearly 2 minutes. Those were 2 of the longest minutes of my life! (So long and memorable in fact I am writing to you about them 10 years later.) On the other hand, the 2 hour nap I hope to get before practice everyday seems to go by in seconds, I double check on a different clock because I find it unbelievable that the time has passed so fast.
